Cairo: The Great Pyramid of Giza, as the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, is a must see. You should also see the Steppe Pyramaid at Saqqara, which is an example of an older pyramid thought to be the second stage toward the developmnt of the true pyramids. Another must see is the Egyptian Museum, which is full of Egyptian artifacts including the famous Palette of Narmer.
Alexandria: Pompey’s Pillar is a great example of the influence of Greek and Roman’s in Alexandria. Visit the Greco-Roman Museum for more artifacts relating to the occupation by Greeks and Romans.
Nile Cruise: Taking a cruise down the Nile from Luxor to Aswan is a great experience. There are several sites to see along the way including ancient Egyptian temples, some of which are in amazing condition for their age, and the Valley of the Kings.
